Joe Forlenza’s Story

I spent the last 20 years trying to escape

I did not always have the opportunity to do what I love. Eventually, I came to the realization that I could use my skills as a CPA financial planner in the service of helping people connect their self-worth with their net worth.

You see, I believe happiness comes when the heart has plenty. As a teenager, I grew up wandering the pine barons with my wilderness mentor and tracker Tom Brown, Jr. This instilled in me a love and awe of the wilderness. It taught me to appreciate the innate wisdom that is found in nature. Tom taught us the skills to read the landscape with our senses to survive and thrive.

When I graduated from college, I left the wild and entered the workforce. I found it difficult to survive in a world of environmental destruction and the pursuit of generalized greed for things. It was hard for me to reconcile the beauty and balance found in nature with the unfulfilled desires and frustration people of all wealth levels seemed to be experiencing: the often-toxic transactions we engage in to get more just because more is better. The “more” just was never enough.

I felt tired and bored. I knew I could not survive a life like this. So I returned to the woods, hopeful that nature would guide me towards meaning. Much to my surprise, the wilderness guided me back to Corporate America. I saw a vision for myself as a CPA.

My mission as a CPA was to be entrusted with people's resources and have a more balanced existence. Yoga and self-care refined this approach; I learned to integrate the wild and the workplace. Instead of placing the importance of funding solely on my future self - which I do - I also began to fund my current self and look at my past self to heal those wounds. All things that require a conscious decision to allocate the resources of time and money. Ultimately, I learned firsthand:

people are happy when their hearts have plenty

I now have a fully developed practice of Plentyism ingrained in my life. I have given myself permission and space to explore my heart and to act in ways that make it beat faster.

I am now a passionate athlete who trains regularly. I am an avid outdoor adventurer. And I have learned to find wisdom by challenging myself in nature. Nature requires attentiveness to one's surroundings. Through honing my connection with nature, I am better able to sense and help others connection to what makes their hearts sing.

I help people craft a way to manage their material resources to live in that space of soul connection to their outer worlds. Rather than hoard, why not feed? We nourish and support what we want to see more of in our lives.\Ve learn how and where to allocate our resources toward things that make you feel alive.

By having the faith to use your intuition to help you in allocating your resources, you move out of fear and into empowerment. I believe the life you know you were meant to live begins to meet you halfway in the process of aligning your higher self with your resources, your soul to your work, your art to your pursuits. And, I believe your net worth expands when your self-worth aligns with your soul.

I invite you to connect with me to discover your own life of plenty.
